Alpaca
provided the design and mechanical engineering for the HVAC
systems on the hotel portion of the project. The hotel is
part of a major new shopping mall complex. This new hotel
has 14 stories plus two basement parking levels. The guest
room units are air conditioned using the stacked, wall-mounted
type water source heat pumps, each having individual cooling
controls. The central cooling towers, boilers, and pumps were
located on the roof. The total system provides 600 tons of
cooling.
Alpaca
also provided peer review of the Mall facility HVAC systems
for the client.
